Oakland is a small incorporated town in Orange County, Florida, on the southern shore of Lake Apopka, about two miles west of Winter Garden and roughly fifteen to twenty miles west of downtown Orlando. Winter Garden, immediately to the east, supplies dining, retail, and entertainment, while State Road 50 and the region's expressway network connect Oakland to the wider Orlando area.
